Statutory Compliance & Reports
How statutory rules are applied, statutory reports, Cayman schedules and GL export.
TropicHR calculates each territory’s statutory deductions from a built-in, regularly-updated rule set — you don’t maintain tax tables yourself.
How statutory calculations work
Every operating territory has a published set of statutory rules — income tax, national insurance, health and education levies and similar — each using the calculation the territory’s law prescribes: a progressive bracket schedule, a flat rate, a fixed amount, or a banded amount. These are applied automatically to every pay run for that territory; you don’t configure them per employer.
A territory’s readiness on Company Profile reflects whether you’ve completed the employer registrations its statutory rules require — see Getting Started.
Statutory reports
Reports → Statutory Reports generates the filings and remittance summaries for a territory and period — the numbers you report or pay over to that territory’s tax and social security authorities.
Cayman schedules
For employers operating in the Cayman Islands, Reports → Cayman Schedules produces the pension and health insurance remittance schedules those providers require, generated directly from the pay runs in that territory.
GL export
Reports → GL Export maps payroll costs and liabilities from a pay run to your general ledger accounts, so payroll’s financial impact posts cleanly into your accounting system without manual re-keying.
